APPEAL AGAINST TRAFFIC FINE
Today; As a result of the rapid increase in the number of vehicles, many traffic rules are violated. As a result of these violations, a traffic fine is issued to you. If you think that the traffic fine imposed on you is unfairly imposed; You have the right to appeal against the traffic fine in question. Objection to the traffic fine can be made by writing a petition to the Criminal Court of Peace or via e-government.
Against the Traffic Administrative Fine Decision Record, you must appeal the decision within 15 days at the latest from the date of notification of the decision.
Querying Traffic Fines Issued in Your Name
You can inquire whether there is a traffic fine issued in your name through E-devlet, General Directorate of Security and Revenue Administration.
Procedure of Notification of the Penalty Report
If the penalty is applied against the face or against the licence plate, a different path is followed. In cases where the traffic fine is applied to the face, the right to appeal the fine is 15 working days. In cases where the fine is applied to the licence plate, the right to appeal starts from the day the fine is notified to you.
Objection is not subject to fees.
There are no court costs for appealing a traffic fine. During the appeal to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace for the removal of the traffic fine, there is no payment of fees or expenses in any way.
Appeal can also be made after the traffic fine is paid
After paying the traffic fine, you can make an objection by attaching the receipt to the objection petition. Some of the people who have been fined can make their payments before the lawsuit process in order to benefit from the traffic fine discount applied during the early payment period. In case the objection is rejected, it is in the person’s favour to have paid the fine before the objection.
