
Which Crimes Are Considered Aggravated Fraud?
The scope of aggravated fraud is clearly defined in Article 158 of the Turkish Penal Code. According to this article, the misuse of religious feelings and beliefs, taking advantage of people’s victimization, and committing fraud by taking advantage of people’s physical weaknesses are considered aggravated fraud.
In addition, crimes committed within public institutions and organizations that result in harm to the institution are also considered to fall within the scope of aggravated fraud.
